This Oakland County Senior Home Care Agency Had An Unlikely Start
It all started with an act of kindness
In early 2009, my husband Brian and I volunteered with the local senior center. We provided rides to doctor’s appointments for seniors in the community. One day he drove a gentleman to a doctor’s appointment. The gentleman comes out of his nice house in a nice neighborhood.
We were stunned. The man looked somewhat unkempt, clothes were dirty and stained, a bit worn out and he was unshaven. He could have been a homeless man. On the way home, this gentleman asked Brian if he would stop at the grocery store so he could buy a gallon of milk. Brian said sure, no problem. The man proceeded to buy 2 gallons of milk. The gentleman thanked him profusely.

My husband came home that day and told me about the gentleman, with a bit of amazement and confusion.
During the drive, my husband got to know this gentleman. He was a widower and lived alone. He had one out of town daughter and he wanted to stay in his own home. He had been an attorney, WWII veteran, husband, father and so much more during his life. Later that week, his daughter called to thank us for being so kind to her father. The small gesture meant so much to him that he told his daughter about it. She told us that fresh milk had become a delicacy for her father, he could only have it when he found someone to take him to the store.

Outraged and saddened by this situation, we pledged to not allow this to happen in our own community. That is why we started Alliance Senior Care. We realized that there was such a need to help older adults remain independent and maintain their dignity as they remain in their own home.
In 2009, we started Alliance Senior Care because we saw a need to help seniors in our community. We also realized that Michigan families needed support, an extra set of hands, an extra set of eyes and peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are being cared for. That gentleman became our first client. We cared for him for nearly four years, until he passed away peacefully in his own home, which was his wish. Our mission is to support Seniors so they may remain independent and thrive safely at home with our whole person Seniors remain whole-

We are a family owned business that cares for our clients like they were our own family. Both of us were raised in the tri-county area and we are raising our family in this area. We are honored for the last15+ years we have cared for our own seniors in our community, ourfamilyfamily members, our neighbors and our friends’ parents.
